Export and Backup SMS from iPhone to PC

January 22nd, 2010 § 6

This tutorial will teach you how to export and backup any SMS messages from your iPhone to a Windows computer using iPhone SMS Transfer.

As we know iTunes provides a Backup function which while syncing an iPhone, splits the iPhone data, including SMS messages, contacts, music, or video etc. into different files extensions and different folders. For example, it will save files in C:\Documents and Settings\[your windows login name]\Application Data\Apple Computer\MobileSync\Backup\[some id]\ …. Well, complex root. Which annoys most iPhone users is that all the backup files are binary plists.

On another hand, iTunes creates the backup files replacing the old saved data. So your old messages will be lost forever.

In order to export your iPhone messages to Windows computer for backup, it’s worth trying some other programs, such as an iPhone SMS transfer or SMS backup program . As of today iPhone SMS Transfer is the only software compatible with PC.

It lets the user to:

Skee Ball – Apple’s Current #1 Download

January 5th, 2010 § 0

Apple’s current #1 download is Skee-Ball! On Christmas Day, Freeverse sold 47,926 copies of Skee-Ball at $0.99 generating roughly $33,000 in sales after Apple’s 30% cut.

Bring the fun of the boardwalk to the palm of your hand with 3D graphics, great physics, and awesome prizes. A true American classic.

While scoring points, you can grab star bonuses that offer multipliers. As you try to beat your high score, you gain tickets to reedem items to add to your loot or change the experience of the game. With the addition of Plus+ that shows the leaderboards and awards it is a hit.

The main part of skee-ball is trying to interact with the physics of the runway and the holes. Freeverse nailed this with their Nvidia physics engine that shows realistic bounces and speed as you try to make your way to the top. Hopefully this engine will be incorporated into other games to add this wonderful realistic feel.

Skee-Ball is easy to learn and easier to love: Play by simply flicking your finger across the screen or making a bowling motion. Tilt the iPhone/iPod Touch to add spin. Simple to play, almost impossible to stop playing!

Doodle Jump – Number One iPhone App

January 5th, 2010 § 0

Doodle Jump charts in Apple’s Top 10 most downloaded paid apps. Users admit it’s their most favorite though EXTREMELY addicting game! It also made top ten in Top 100 most blogged about iPhone apps of 2010
list.

In Doodle Jump, you guide The Doodler—using some of the most subtle and accurate tilt controls in existence. The cool features like jetpacks and spring shoes make this app more successful than PapiJump App.

There are a several obstacles Doodler must evade in the game:

Monsters – There are five different types of monsters which the player must shoot at, jump on top of, or avoid in order to not be knocked down and sent to the “Game Over” screen.
Boss Monster – This monster is much more difficult to shoot than the other monsters because it moves around the screen, and has to be shot 5 times to be killed. It will still die with a single jump.
UFOs – UFOs abduct Doodler when it jumps underneath them, ending the game. The shield accessory does not protect Doodler against a UFO. You can shoot a UFO.
Black holes – Black holes are similar to UFOs and monsters, but cannot be destroyed. If Doodler touches one, it is sucked inside and the game ends.

But the core gameplay remains the same: jump as high as you can to increase your score, and your game ends when you misjudge a jump and fall off the bottom of the screen. Doodle Jump also marks the name and height of previous high scores–your own and from Doodle Jumpers around the world–along the edge of the screen, making this already great game even more addictive.

Version 1.13.2 includes YETTI monster boss in snow mode.

Circletris – Round iPhone Game

December 19th, 2009 § 0

The recipe: one part of the tetris, one part of zuma or a Rubik’s cube (to your taste), two parts of trotyl, add some ice and mix properly in a blender! This is the aproximate description of Circletris – new game for iPhone and iPod touch.

So what is Circletris like? Let’s have a closer look at the our cocktail’s ingredients. Tetris represents a brick which is the basis of Circletris: in the game something is dropped and you are to do something with it.

Rubik’s cube is our “second” brick: red to red, blue to blue, same game principle.

Trotyl, perhaps, is the key component, cement attaching two bricks, something new and “explosive”, the new approach to management: here you will not find a boring, rectangular game field. You have a circle infront of you broken into cells. Multi-coloured cells show up on the screen. But instead of directing the cells you have to arrange the game field underneath by rotating it around the center.

Well and at last – ice. It represents various bonuses. Some of them are good – a chance to clear a row or a column; and some are not – black holes. Hitting these holes will mix up your cells, will bring full confusion.

The whole dish is plentifully flavoured by a good sound and a pleasant picture.

Circletris doesn’t have anything unnecessary. So nothing will prevent you from plunging into gaming process.
